Our pricing is for private training for a couple (or two students). Pricing includes course materials, ASA Certification, and lodging aboard the teaching yacht (if desired).

Returning students always receive a 10% discount.

ECY Sailing Classes

Basic Keelboat Sailing

General Description: Able to sail a boat of about 20 feet in length in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters without supervision. A preparatory Standard with no auxiliary power or navigation skills required.

Prerequisites:  None
Length:  3 days
Price for 2: $1,295
In addition to the ASA standard, class includes docking using an auxillary motor and lodging aboard yacht.

Basic Coastal Cruising

General Description: Able to cruise safely in local and regional waters as both skipper and crew on an auxiliary powered sailboat of about 20 to 30 feet in length, in moderate winds and sea conditions.

Bareboat Charter Certification

General Description: An advanced cruising Standard for individuals with cruising experience. The individual can act as skipper or crew of a 30 - 50 foot boat sailing by day in coastal waters. The Standard includes knowledge of boat systems and maintenance procedures.

Prerequisites:  ASA 101 & 103
Length:  4 days
Price for 2: $1,995
In addition to ASA standard, class includes overnight anchorage, navigation to and docking at an unfamiliar marina, and dinghy with outboard handling procedures.

Coastal Navigation

General Description: Able to demonstrate the navigational theory required to safely navigate a sailing vessel in coastal or inland waters. There is no Sailing Skills part to this Standard and practical application of this sailing knowledge is found in the Advanced Coastal Cruising Standard.

Maximum sailing class size for Coastal Navigation is 4 students.  Includes practical application on one of our yachts.

Cruising Catamaran

General Description: An advanced cruising standard for individuals with cruising experience. The individual can act as skipper and crew of a 30-50 foot multihull sailboat by day in coastal waters. The standard includes those skills unique to a 30-50 foot multihull.
