2008 ASA Outstanding Sailing School of the Year
Emerald Coast Yachts was selected as ASA Outstanding School of the Year for 2006 & 2008.
Capt. Rick was selected as Outstanding Instructor of the Year for 2006, 2007 and 2008. Capt. Fred was selected as Outstanding Instructor of the Year for 2008. These awards are the direct result of

That's our Beneteau 381, La Reine, on the cover! The article, found in the Backyard Charters section, is entitled "Sailing the Bayous of Florabama" and chronicles the charter of our friend David Liscio and family aboard La Reine. As usual, David did an excellent job of describing our extraordinary cruising grounds.

ECY introduces new ASA 106+
Capt. Bob Kriegel teaches this new course which is geared for students who really want to prepare for cruising and offshore sailing (and have some fun on the beautiful Gulf Coast). The class will be taught aboard Caribbean Soul, Too, a Morgan 44 Center Cockpit.

Our Website has a new look
We decided to improve our website and add more pictures. All of the pictures were either taken by (and are of) us, our friends, charterers, or students.We'd love to have more pictures, so if you have some that you took during a class or charter - and don't mind us using them on our website - please send them!
We'd also appreciate feedback on our new website and suggestions for improvement (we promise you won't hurt Capt. Rick's feelings).
